If you love animals, then a trip to Calgary zoo is exactly what you need on your trip here. One of the most popular sites in the zoo is the creatures of the night/Australia exhibit, where visitors can see kangaroos and emus amongst other animals from down under. Calgary tower was once the tallest building in the city, standing at 626 feet high. It was built in 1967 in order to celebrate the centennial of Canada, and it was used during the Winter Olympics to hold the flame. In this day and age you can use this tower as the perfect viewpoint over the entire city, taking in the views and taking loads of photos.
One of the most popular shopping venues in the city, Stephen avenue walk is full to the brim of high street chains and independent stores. You will be able to enjoy street performers, artists and ven festivals in this area of the city as you do some retail therapy.
