This past week has been far too full of work and not really enough fun. Well, I’m sure Little M has been having fun, it’s just mostly been with her grandparents, instead of with me! I’m working a couple of days this coming week, too, but then it’s half term so we can have some more quality time as a family.
We made the most of the unexpected sunshine this weekend, and headed to the beach at Gorleston on Sunday afternoon. This is one of our favourite beaches as there is plenty of free parking and lots of sand! Little M has completely conquered her fear of sand and absolutely loves it, so she enjoyed getting stuck in straight away.
Unfortunately, as this was a ‘jump in the car and go’ kind of trip, we completely forgot to take any toys with us, so she had to make do with her hands and the sand. It didn’t seem to bother her though, as she scamped around looking for stones to add to a little pile we had made.
It was so, so lovely to have a little taste of the summer back again! I love this little Joules top that Little M is wearing; I thought she’d had her last wear of it back in the summer holidays, so it was a treat to be able to dig it out again! Hopefully the weather will stay good and those rumours that this October is going to be the wettest on record, will continue to prove unfounded!
