Sorry all, I’m completely off my blogging game at the moment. I meant to post on Friday, as usual, but I didn’t. I even had a great idea for a blog post, but I just didn’t get round to putting my fingers to the keyboard and getting it written. In fairness, it was our second wedding anniversary on Friday, so hubby and I spent a wonderful day together at the Aqua Sana Spa at Elveden Forest Centre Parcs. I had intended to take lots of photos and review it, but instead I simply enjoyed the time that hubby and I had to ourselves. One thing is for sure, I’m definitely sold on spa days, and I think hubby is too! Hopefully we’ll have more in our future. Anyway, I think that’s a pretty good excuse for not posting as usual.
We had a really busy week last week actually, in fact the first two weeks of the summer holidays seem to be full of appointments and days out. Classic teachers trying to cram everything into the school holidays! On Wednesday, we had our first trip to London as a family, to attend the George at Asda Christmas Press Party. Little M had her own personalised bauble made, and we got a chance to have a sneaky peak at the George home, fashion and children’s wear ranges for the upcoming season. There were some gorgeous things there, including some cheeky mummy-daddy-little ones twinning opportunities and some absolutely-to-die-for bedding, which I have definitely got my eye on! I’m not sure how much more I can say about the new collections, but I’ll keep you posted as soon as they go live, and will hopefully have some of it to share with you soon!
After we’d been finished at George, we popped back to Westfield Stratford City, where we’d parked, and had a late lunch at Jamie’s Italian before heading home. Usually, we don’t even bother looking at the children’s menu in places, as we expect a barrage of fish fingers and chips, nuggets and chips, pizza and chips and, well, yet more chips! But we were super impressed with the kid’s menu at Jamie’s Italian. I suppose we shouldn’t have expected anything less from Jamie Oliver, given his worthy crusade for healthy school dinners. It was kids eat free, too, so that kept hubby happy!
This week’s Living Arrows photograph is from our lunch at Jamie’s Italian. Little M sat so nicely (I guess it helped that they have Tripp Trapps at Jamie’s, like we do at home) and the waiter even asked us if she’s usually as calm as she was while at the restaurant. We were quite surprised as she was flinging crayons and bits of food all over the floor, just like she does at home! I guess that’s normal toddler behaviour though, and I bet they see it all in that job. I’m sure Little M will repay us with a raging toddler tantrum at another restaurant in the future!
