Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
Last week it seemed to suddenly turn colder, here. Gloves became a necessity and the girls have rediscovered bobble hats! I treated M to a nice new one, but B’s one from last year still fits her nicely, and she seems thrilled with it, so I’ll avoid buying her another one if I can!
B has taken to demanding that I take photographs of her. “Mummy, photo!” she cries, and immediately breaks into a smile when I produce my phone as a result. Here she is, after requesting that I take a photograph of her in her hat. She is very proud that she can put it on herself, which I think is why she wanted the event recorded for posterity!
M is trickier to photograph at the moment. She tends to not stop moving for even a millisecond, which makes taking non-blurry photos a challenge! Her photograph was taken on Tuesday, when we were at the theatre waiting to see The Scarecrows’ Wedding. I’ve written a little review of the performance, if you fancy a read.
I love how excited she is here! It was her first trip to the theatre and she absolutely loved it. We’ll definitely be going again.
This week is going to be a difficult one as we’ve got a family funeral to attend. We are looking forward to seeing relatives who live far away, though. We keep asking each other why it seems that it’s only when there’s a funeral, that everyone seems to get together? Perhaps we need to start planning a family reunion so that we can see each other at happier times, too.
