Living Arrows 32/52 {2019}

August 12, 2019

Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.

Last week we spent the week on holiday, in East Sussex. We rented a lovely little holiday cottage and the girls adored staying there. The holiday pretty much revolved around them, and this week’s photographs were taken on two of our outings while we were away.

B’s photograph was taken at Eastbourne’s Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park. We paid for unlimited rides on the train, and while B was a little unsure at first, she soon enjoyed herself second time around the track!

As for M, I couldn’t have chosen any other photograph this week. On Thursday, we visited Blackberry Farm Park and M had her face painted while we were there. She was thrilled to ‘be’ a unicorn and didn’t want to wash it off!

Overall, we had a lovely week and M asked if we could stay at the cottage for longer. Of course, we had to come home and we’re settling back in to life at home – while planning our next family break away!

    It’s so nice to be able to have a holiday together and just spend time with little ones isn’t it.

  2. Sounds like a really lovely holiday, and looks like you got lucky with the weather! That face painting is amazing, she makes a brilliant unicorn! x #LivingArrows

      We were really lucky. On Wednesday we drove to Brighton and it rained heavily for the whole journey, but the sun came out just as we arrived. The face painting was very impressive; the lady was a real artist! x

    That photo of M is beautiful – I don’t think I’ve seen face paint that nice before! It sounds like you had a lovely break x
