Living Arrows {2018} 8/53

February 19, 2018

Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.

This week has been half term, which means that hubby has had the whole week off with us, and it’s been so lovely. M and I have been full of cold (although M’s seems to have gone away now, while mine is being stubborn and hanging around!) but we haven’t let that stop us getting out and about.

Hubby and I have been lucky enough to be able to have a little bit of child-free time this holiday, as the new baby will likely be here before the next one. We won’t be getting much alone time together once she is, so we made the most of it! Having said that, of course we both adore spending time with M, so we’ve taken various trips to the beach, forest and park with her, too!

This week’s Living Arrows photo was taken in M’s grandparents’ garden. They have a much bigger garden than we do, and we’d just bought M a new football to play with, so we thought we’d go there to have a little kick around. Of course, M was more interested in all of the other features their garden has to offer, including this bird bath, which we played ‘peekaboo’ around! Instead, she’s taken to carrying her new ball around our kitchen and enjoys sitting and holding it… Never mind, I’m sure once the warmer weather is here and we’re out in our own garden a lot more, she’ll soon get the idea!

We’ve got a busy week ahead this week with lots of appointments and errands to run, but hopefully we’ll make some time for some fun around all that! What have you got planned this week?

Ah I cannot wait for your new baby to arrive but it must be nice to make the most of some time with M before then and also some child free time. Beautiful photo as always x

I must admit I’m getting a bit tired of being pregnant now, but there is still lots to do to be properly ready. I’m not sure we ever will be, though! x
