Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
Last week was Matthew’s first week back at work after the long summer holiday. I’m not going to lie, the days have felt long after having him at home every day for six weeks. The fact that none of M’s toddler classes start until this week doesn’t help, so I’ve felt like I’ve been clock watching from around 3pm each day. Thank goodness we had some trips planned to make the mornings go a little more quickly!
This week’s photo of B was taken while I was setting up my camera to take a photo for a review post I’ve written. I’m reviewing a postpartum exercise course, so needed to arrange my tripod to get a shot of me exercising along to the video. As I was setting up the shot, B looked straight at the camera. She’s started rolling to travel now, if you know what I mean, and has also shown signs of starting to commando crawl. Pray for me once I’ve got two of them on the move!
As for M, her photograph was taken on Sunday during a trip to the park. I called her name and snapped this just as she looked over and smiled. M specifically requested to visit this particular park, and threw herself into everything as soon as we arrived. Her hair is all over the place at the moment. I feel like I’m constantly combing it, but it’s impossible to keep tidy! It’s so fine and whispy that there’s very little I can do to control it. It is showing signs of thickening up, but she’s still obsessed with twizzling it and pulling it out when she’s tired or just as a pastime while she’s in her car seat.
We’ve got a few things planned in this week, including M’s first toddler yoga class, which should be interesting! Hopefully I’ll feel more into the swing of things and can settle in to more of a routine.
