Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M, and one of B, and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
This past week has gone by in a flash! There must have been a fair bit of sleep deprivation though, as I’m struggling to remember what we’ve been doing all week.
M’s two great loves of the past week have been the local woods and painting, so we decided to combine the two at the start of the week. On Monday morning we took a walk to the woods and collected some fallen leaves, then in the afternoon we used them to do some leaf printing with the paints. To be honest, M’s efforts didn’t really resemble leaves, but she definitely enjoyed herself!
We also tried out a new local class, Hartbeeps, which M really enjoyed. It was a bit crazy with lots going on, but M hasn’t stopped talking about it since last Thursday, so I think I might add that to our list of regular classes to attend!
I’ve been trying to give B as many tummy time opportunities as I can. She seems to have a really strong neck and has been doing a really good job of lifting her head, considering she is only six weeks old. I like this photo as you can see the little wrinkles of effort in her forehead! She’s started to lose her lovely thick hair at the front and becoming a bit of a baldy, which this photograph demonstrates well!
M is still acting out and being a bit rough with her sister (and me sometimes), so this week I have been taking the calm-yet-firm approach and I think things have improved a bit. I shall persevere and hopefully M will return to her gentle, loving self soon enough!
