Every week I join in with Living Arrows, a blog linky run by Donna at What the Redhead Said. The name Living Arrows comes from a poem by Kahlil Gibran; “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”, and each Monday I share a photo of M and a bit about what we’ve been up to the previous week.
We’ve had a busy week this week; we’ve taken the Christmas decorations down, made a start to sorting out the spare room ready for the new baby’s arrival in the Spring, I’ve enquired about having our loft space boarded out to give us some extra storage and we’ve been doing the rounds with family over the festive period.
It’s such a busy time, but we’ve made time to spend time together just us, as our little family. On Thursday, we ventured into Thetford Forest for a walk and a play on the park at High Lodge. They have such a brilliant playground there, not to mention the Gruffalo Trail and now the Highway Rat Trail, and all for the cost of parking. We are considering buying a Discovery Pass for High Lodge as we enjoy it so much, and think it will be a good place to visit once the baby arrives, too!
This week’s photograph was taken during our visit to High Lodge, and on my fancy pants new camera, to boot! I haven’t taken it off auto yet, and lots of the photos from the day came out blurry, so I still have some learning to do, but I’m pretty chuffed with this one!
Last time we visited High Lodge a couple of months ago, Little M refused to even leave Hubby’s arms to have a look down this tunnel. This time, she was prepared to peer in, but that was about it! I love the way she’s standing, and the interaction between her and her daddy – in the next photo he’s bending down to pick her up and you can tell she’s relieved to be getting out of there! Little M is a cautious little thing, but hopefully next time she’ll be prepared to walk through it – or at least step inside!
