Last week felt a bit nuts. I started back at work on Tuesday afternoon. I’m only doing two afternoons per week for the next few weeks, so it doesn’t really feel like work, but still. I’m lucky that I’m able to leave Little M with my parents on those afternoons and it’s nice to have a bit of time to be Mrs W instead of Little M’s mummy.
On Thursday we went to London with Sarah and Piglet from Boo, Roo and Tigger too, as Asda were having a Little Angels event to launch their new nappies. We had a lovely breakfast although we were horribly late as our Taxi scraped a lorry on the way there and had to exchange insurance details. Fortunately it was at low speed and we were all fine, just late!
Poor Little M started coming down with a cold at the end of the week and by this morning, I’d come down with it too. At least I’ve only got to drag myself into work for a couple of hours tomorrow!
This week’s photo illustrates my attempts to keep Little M occupied while I’m washing my hands after changing her nappy. I don’t like to put her down in her cot anymore while I do this as we’ve been teaching her that the cot is for sleeping. So I’ve been sitting her in the middle of our bed and giving her something to occupy her. Toys don’t work; she’s essentially interested in anything she shouldn’t be playing with!
She’s obsessed with pulling my glasses off my face so I thought I’d give her those to play with. I’m not bothered if she breaks them as I realised the other day that I’ve had this pair for more than eight years! I hate them but I wear contact lenses most of the time so haven’t felt the need to spend money on a new pair. But I think the time may come soon. At least if Little M breaks them I’ll have an excuse to go glasses shopping!
