You may have spotted Little M wearing a super cute little outfit in my Living Arrows post last week. It’s by Lilly and Sid, and was kindly sent to us by Serina, owner of boutique children’s fashion website, Lettie & Nix.
Lettie & Nix has a lovely ethos behind it; Serina, a mum herself, wanted to support small start ups as well as showcasing her favourite larger brands, so she fulfilled her dream of owning her own clothing boutique and set up Lettie & Nix with her husband, George. Serina prides herself on having hand-picked every item herself, as well as featuring her own collection, Little Love by Serina Yvonne; a beautiful collection of handmade bibs, burp cloths and teething rattles.
I absolutely adore this outfit and I’m not alone; Little M is obsessed with it! If she spots it in her room or drying on the airer, she’ll pull it down and squeak at me until I dress her in it (not ideal at times that it’s still wet, but it does illustrate how much she loves it!). It washes really well at 40º but I haven’t let it near my tumble dryer, as instructed!
In terms of sizing, I’d say it comes up on the small side. Little M is still comfortably wearing size 9-12 months clothing. This outfit 12-18 months and fits beautifully, but due to the cut of the top and lack of fastenings, is a little difficult to manoeuvre Little M into. Fortunately she loves the outfit so much, she’s prepared to go through the momentary discomfort, but I’m not sure how much wear we’ll get out of it. Which is a shame, because it’s so lovely! Having said that, I contacted Serina at Lettie & Nix about sizing and she recommended I sized up – which just shows how well she knows the brands that she’s showcasing.
Once it’s on, though, Little M looks super comfortable in it and can move around easily. The fabric is a little on the thin side, but a pair of tights instead of socks and a long sleeved vest underneath soon solves that. My favourite thing about this outfit is that it isn’t overly babyish – it’s a stylish print and bold combination of patterns.
Disclosure: I was sent this Lilly and Sid outfit for Little M free of charge; however, all opinions are my own.
